Akhir pekan ini saya menjadi peserta seminar “Empowering Women Trough Blogging” yang dipersembahkan oleh Hijab-scarf.com dan Fimela.com. Pembicaranya adalah Ollie dan Ninit. Berikut ini adalah beberapa point yang saya dapatkan dari acara tersebut.
- Dalam menulis blog kita harus menemukan konsep yang jelas tentang apa yang akan kita tulis. Kita harus tahu apa yang menjadi passion kita dan apa keahlian kita.
Pertanyaan “Apa yang akan kamu lakukan kalau kamu mendapatkan warisan berjuta dollar sehingga tidak harus bekerja?” Saya akan menjawabnya “Saya mau Pergi ke luar negeri untuk melihat artist-artist favorit saya berpameran, saya akan ke Times Square, saya akan membuat foto Abbey Road seperti The Beatles, menonton konser The Strokes, U2, Coldplay, bahkan mendatangi makam Lady Diana. Dari sini dapat terlihat jelas bahwa passion saya adalah art, photo, music, fashion. Dan saya akan membuat diri saya expert di bidang tersebut.
“You Have To Make Yourself Expert!”
- 4,8 Juta orang Indonesia adalah blogger dan mungkin banyak sekali blog dengan tema yang sama. Maka blog kamu harus mempunyai “winning point” misal dengan bahasa yang lebih menarik, layout dan visual yang menarik.
- Beruntunglah kita tinggal di Indonesia, Negara demokrasi yang membebaskan warga negaranya untuk menuliskan apapun di blog. Berbeda dengan Negara lain yang selalu mengawasi tindakan warga negaranya. Di Negara lain blogger kebanyakan menulis tentang politik sehingga Negara memandang blogger adalah seorang kritikus pemerintahan. Indonesia dan Philipina adalah salah satu Negara demokrasi yang bagus untuk para Blogger.
- Blog bukanlah suatu trend dan bisa tercipta begitu saja. Untuk menemukan blognya, penulis harus melewati berbagai tahap.
Pertama kali saya punya blog adalah tahun 2009, berisi curhat-curhat yang kalau dibaca lagi sekarang akan terlihat lucu :) kemudian lanjut dengan blog tentang fashion, namun itu pun masih dengan konsep yang tidak jelas. Sekarang ini saya merasa lebih percaya diri dengan tulisan saya.
- Blogger harus sedikit banyak tahu mengenai cara menulis, design dan gadjet. Apabila merasa kesulitan, ajaklah teman yang bisa membantu kesulitan kamu untuk dijadikan partner.
- Tahun 2011 ini bukan saatnya menulis di blog berisi detail cerita kegiatan kamu. Melainkan tulislah reaksi kamu terhadap hal apapun.

- Perhatikan hak cipta pada saat mengcopy artikel atau foto.
- Indonesia merupakan Negara muslim terbesar di dunia. Perempuan di luar sana selalu ingin tahu kegiatan seorang muslim wanita di Indonesia seperti apa. Kita disini bisa keluar rumah, bekerja, berbelanja secara bebas, mungkin akan berbeda dengan di Arab Saudi misalnya. Karena itulah kita harus menulis dengan baik. Tidak hanya di blog, di twitter, di facebook atau di social media lain. Hindari menulis cacian, makian, dan hal-hal negatif lainnya dan jangan terlalu memburai-burai isi perut, karena tulisan kamu adalah konsumsi publik

This weekend I participated in a seminar on "Empowering Women Trough Blogging" presented by Hijab-scarf.com and Fimela.com. The speakers are Ollie and Ninit. Here are some points that I got from the event.
- In writing the blog, We have to find a clear concept of what we write. We must know what is our passion and what is our expertise.
Question: “What would you do if you get inheritance of millions dollars so you don’t have to work?” I will answer “I want to go abroad to see my favorite artists exhibition. I will go to times square, make Abbey Road’s photo such as The Beatles, watch the concert of The Strokes, U2, Coldplay, even come to the tomb of Lady Diana” It can be seen clearly that my passions are an art, photo, music, fashion, and I’ll make myself expert in this field.

- 4.8 Million Indonesian people are blogger and probably a lot of blogs are with the same theme. Then your blog should have a "winning points" such as with an interesting language, visual attractive and layout which is more interesting.
- Fortunate, we live in Indonesia, a state with democracy that freed the citizens to write anything on the blog. Unlike the other countries which are always supervising the actions of its citizens. In other countries most blogger write about politics so that the country assess them as a critic of government. Indonesia and Philippines are one of the good democratic country to the Blogger.
- Blog is not a trend and can be created simply. To find the blog, the author must pass through the various stages.
The first time I have a blog was in 2009. It contains stories which if re-read it would be funny :) then continued with a blog about fashion, but still with an unclear concept. Right now I feel more confident with my writing.
- Blogger has a lot to know about how to write, design and gadgets. When You find it difficult, take a friend who can help you to become a partner.
- In 2011 is not the time to write on the blog which contains a detailed story of your activities. Instead write your reaction to anything.

- Note the copyright at the time of copying articles or photos.
- Indonesia is the largest world's Muslim country. Women out there always wanna know the activities of a Muslim woman in Indonesia. Here we can go out, work, shop freely, maybe litle bit different in Saudi Arabia. That's why we have to write well. Not only on blogs, twitter, facebook or other social media. Avoid writing about the diatribe, invective, even other negative things and do not release things that are not important, because you are writing for public consumption.
